ah...finally i am here to blog again.... after 26 DEC 2007, my muscles were aching and i felt as if i had extra muscles in my arms and legs.... haha... i think by now people know that i am referring to the BBQ i had with my friends in RP.... it was really the blockbuster event of the year!!!



26 DEC 2007 BBQ



i met up with Nisha, NZ and Gurveen in TPY MRT station... i had a tent and a bag full of bottles to carry. it was really heavy but i was thinking that everything is going to be worth it for the fun we were going to have.... wow cannot wait already... we took the bus 31 to reach marine parade.... i did not know then that it was a long walk from there to the pit... gosh!!!! when we reached the desired bus-stop we alighted and then walked... we walked and walked... my legs were really aching and worst of all was the stuffs that i was carrying... haha... thinking about it now i felt i was going for a month holiday when the the bbq was only for one night.... silly of me!!! finally we reached the ECP but not our pit... we walked some more while walking NZ was cheering for us... she kept on saying (let's chiong... a bit more only... we can do it)...we were almost in giving up state when suddenly it started to pour... we rushed to the nearest shelter but we forgot to see that it was muddy near the path we were running.... hahaha.... i and gurveen were near the mud and then my slippers got stuck in the mud... gurveen took the bag and run out of the mud because she was disgusted by the mud... she was not able to stand it... i tried to get out of the mud but i was not able to.... my slipper were stuck.... i used my force to pull my leg up and finally the slippers gave way (which means they tore)... i was hurrying for the shelter and only reaching there i realised that it tore ( i didn't have slippers for the moment!!!!) i was in barefoot all the while... while in the shelter we were washing our legs with the rain...haha.... that was a sight!!!!



after that, when the rain was lesser... we decided to walk towards the pit!!!! what a luck... it rained again!!! thank god before we got wet we went to another shelter....haha.... we were hopping shelter....NZ called naf and shikin for help...the things were heavy...finally after sometime, the rain lessen and it was safe to go out. at last we reached our pit. 32C....(won the medal for hardships)hahaha...lame

we placed the things near the bbq area and opened our umbrella to protect them from getting wet!!! we rather get wet then the things and the food!!!!then we set out to build the tent!!! that's the problem there...none of us actually knows how to build the tent.... we tried and tried but we were not sure the exact details of the tent!!!! then i called two guys to help us build the tent...wow.. they were superb.... they make it look so simple to build the tent.... fantastic job by them!!!!!

after building the tent, preeta and Shikin arrived together...they had the bottles of drinks. i, preeta and shikin went to buy ice and i needed a pair of slipper to go home with!!! i do not want to look like a saint all the way. we made a whole big round in the shops when the first shop in front of us was selling the slippers...haha...it was a small or mini exercise for me!!! walk too much already!!! i am hungry... we bought the ice and walked back

when we reached the pit, they were already cooking the food!!!yum yum...slowly the time flew...nisha's family came down...her mom was very lively!!! modern!!! we all ate and talked as much as we want..we didn't have a time limit like in school!!!(in school can talk during the break-outs only)haha... had a very good time

around 8.40, we decided to bring out the cake...nisha placed the cake under and i quickly took it out of the box while NZ was on guard!!! we tried our best not to show but i suppose they would have guessed that it is a cake!!! hahaha.... nisha was doing the candles while i light them up and NZ was still on guard duty!!! (loyal to her job)haha... finally everything was set!!! then the called the birthday gals gurveen and Shikin to blow the candles and cut the cake...ooooo it was a touchy moment there... what are friends for??

after that, we eat some more and soon Gurveen, Shikin, Naf, Preeta and Shikin left. only the three of us left!! i look at NZ, NZ look at nisha and nisha look at me!!! hahaha...

the whole night we talked about lots of stuffs... girls got lots to talk about when they meet their clicks... it was nice talking... around 3 plus we find it amazing that the time is going very fast!!! around 4.10 i felt sleepy... i was trying hard not to sleep... i had not slept the previous night due to Christmas celebration... if it reached 8am in the morning then i would consider that i had not slept for the past 48 hours!!! so i felt very sleepy... NZ and nisha went to the beach while i slept for a while in the tent!!! sleeping in the tent was worst.... the floor was so damn hard... it felt like i was sleeping in the rock stone!!! gosh... my back hurt a lot...finally i gave up... i slept while sitting down... that was not as pain as the floor!!!

around 5.30am we met up again!!!i was not able to sleep again!!! we all talked again...soon the time flew... the sky was turning purple.... during that time we started to pack a bit so that later we would not have a lot to pack....when the sky turned purple.... it was a signal that the sun is going to come out soon!!! we took the value belongings and a mat.... we went near the beach and sat on the mat... cool right!!! then this time we took pictures... NZ was very high early morning!!! taking pictures, running here and there!!! early morning all are high!!!(could it be the apple juice that she drank???)

we took even a video of how we felt!!! hahah..first time i am taking a video...anyways we waited and waited for the sun... but the sky was clear blue already!!! gosh the clouds blocked the sun!!! we could not see the sun rise!!! damn... never mind!!! we said there will be a next time so it is OK!!! we packed the remaining things... and walked out of EC... this time we took the shorter route.... in the bus the three of us slept!!! we could not hold it any longer!!!!

i just woke up a few stops before the stop that i should get down..... when my stop arrived i forgot about the bag that was with NZ... i quickly took that bag, my tent and my other bag and left... so clumsy.... when i got down, i was waiting for the bus and within few minutes the bus arrived, i boarded the bus and took the seat, i continued my sleep back as i know it is going to be a long journey...... when i reached my final stop, i didn't realised that the oil was dripping...gosh....i quickly got down from the stop.... i didn't know what to do... i went home and immediately took a shower... i know i smelled the worst!!! after the shower i slept in my own bed...

when i wake up... my body was aching all over... the fruit of our labour!!!!
